Over the past 15 years, I've had the honor of serving as the President of Simplay Labs. The exceptional and committed Simplay team, along with the unwavering support from various divisions within the company, made each workday a fulfilling experience. This collective effort extended my professional journey beyond my original retirement plans. As of April 30th, 2023, I quietly entered the phase of retirement. Following a three-month period dedicated to family and fitness, I've made the decision to actively contribute as a Senior Advisor at Uchean Technologies, our family-owned business. Our primary focus at Uchean Technologies is to improve the quality of life for indigenous and rural communities. We are currently engaged in active projects in Western Africa, addressing critical needs such as healthcare, access to clean drinking water, and housing. Our agreements emphasize the importance of local job creation, community development, and providing free education opportunities for our employees. With registrations with the United States Trade and Development Agency the African Union and relationships with Paramount Chiefs, we are better positioned to deliver American-made products and solutions to Africa. Despite working more hours than initially planned in my post-retirement phase from the high-tech industry, the gratification derived from supporting these meaningful causes makes it a rewarding endeavor.
